Best Part of the Day

My love of sunrises comes from my father.  As a farmer, he was always up with the sun.  I heard this many mornings when I did not want to get up and moving (my younger days).

This photo was taken in August, 2005 - just a couple months after I started riding my bicycles.  I was driving to Silver City to ride the Wabash Trace.

Lake Manawa Trail Sunrise

In the Summer, I like to be out for my bike ride at sunrise.

Lake Manawa Sunrise

This photo was taken during my early morning bicycle ride (before its too hot to ride).  Stopped along E. Manawa Drive  for the photo.  The land jutting into the lake is Boy Scout Island.
