Fort Bayard

FortBayard         The one restored and furnished building at this historic fort.  Besides a military fort, it was used as a Veteran's Administration facility.  There is a VA cemetery on the grounds.  May 6, 2018

Bodie  is a ghost town in the High Sierra Across Tioga Pass from Yosemite National Park.  This California State Park has been the location for several movies.  The buildings are well preserved because of the dry climate.

PikesPeakIowa

Pike's Peak State Park near McGregor, Iowa.  At Effigy Mounds, I was disappointed that there was not a good view of the Mississippi River.  The ranger suggested i drive 8 miles South to this state park,  The overlook, shown here, gives an awesome view of the river and lowlands.
