Bodie, California

Bodie  is a ghost town in the High Sierra Across Tioga Pass from Yosemite National Park.  This California State Park has been the location for several movies.  The buildings are well preserved because of the dry climate.

Gilman Tunnels

For some time, I heard about the tunnels out of Jemez in the Jemez mountains.  Did not find them during a couple trips into the area.  A ham radio friend (and photographer) mapped it for me.  To find the tunnels, take US 550 to San Ysidro. North on NM 4 to just North of Jemez Pueblo.  Take NM 485 which turns into Forest Service road 376.

Striking Compositions Challenge

Previously, I had identified Tex as being located in Tucumcari, NM.  That was in error.  The next trip I saw Tex along the road in the NE end of Dalhart.
