Loch Vale

During the same trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, I hiked the trail up to Loch Vale.  The trek took me over 3 hours and gained about 1000 ft in altitude up to over 10,000 ft. Finding this beautiful mountain lake was my reward.  This photo was the signature photo for my October 2009 show.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel - f/5.0 at 1/79 sec.  18.0 mm and ISO 100.  Original RAW file processed by Adobe Camera Raw plug-in for Photoshop Elements 9.

Ouzal Falls

There are some great day hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park.  I was there for my Army reunion, staying at the YMCA of the Rockies.  One of the activity directors recommended the hike up to Ouzal Falls.  As I recall, I was gone about 5 hours on the hike.  The falls was worth the hike.

Canon EOS Digital rebel - f/29.0 at 1/4 sec (hand held).  27.0 mm and ISO 100.  RAW file converted and tone mapped by HDR Photo Pro.

A foggy June morning while riding my bicycle in the Chickamauga Battlefield (Chattanooga) I shot this photo.  The lighting seemed to shout to convert to grayscale.
